Request for proposal for the development of a browser-based live chat software

In cooperation with its member organisations and other partner organisations, the Deutsche Aidshilfe e.V. has been running an advisory chat for gay men since 2016, providing advice on HIV, sexually transmitted diseases and sexual health.

The makandra team won the request for proposal for the development of a new, browser-based software for the live chat. Within a short time all requirements were implemented and the finished application was handed over to the Deutsche Aidshilfe e.V.

Useful functionalities facilitate chatting

With the new live chat, the approximately 75 consultants can advise all those seeking advice in individual chats from private desktop devices at home as well as from their offices. They are notified acoustically of chat requests and can work in a clearly arranged chat window, insert definable text modules and consult other consultants in the background. All of this, of course, in accordance with the highest security and data protection standards.

Furthermore, the application offers useful additional functions such as a shift calendar, a forum, and statistical evaluations.
